Our recyclate content when producing PCI/PCR cartridges is at least 30 %. In future, we will be able to exibly adjust this percentage.
We guarantee tested dimensions and printing in the same quality as products made from virgin material.
On customer request we can produce cartridges with recyclate content in dierent colors.

The color for recyclate cartridges is gray –
because it is proven that LVP systems (for sorting lightweight packaging) can correctly detect its materials.
Fischbach cartridges have been certied to be of optimum recyclability by the Duales System licensee »Interseroh«–
whether as virgin materials or products with recycling content.
Good to know:
The lled-in product, i.e., silicone, will make
the overall packaging not recyclable.
Our PCR recyclate comes from various applications.
Therefore, we cannot guarantee the chemical
properties and storage stability of our cartridges
with recyclate content.
We recommend our customers to check whether
their products are suitable for cartridges with
recyclate content.

Our NIR-Marker
The future state-of-the-art for
detecting cartridges with residue.
Challenge: Conventional processing plants are unable to recycle cartridges with incompatible residue (e.g., silicone). Therefore, recyclate manufacturers consider them as unwanted
materials.
Solution: Together with reputable Duales System technology partners, we are developing a marker which the NIR scanners in sorting machines can read.
Aim: Targeted ltering of the »markered« cartridge from the material system for further thermal processing or recycling.

Developing an NIR marker for recycling cartridges with residue

Improves the HD-PE recycling quality of the other products.

In future, the Duales System can reduce taris for cartridges with markers to drive cartridge distribution companies to use the NIR marker.

Fischbach is working on evolving our introduced energy management system according to ISO 50001.
It captures and evaluates all the energy streams from machines, systems and building technology.
Every year we verify energy improvements at our production sites, e.g., a consistent reduction of our electricity consumption.
In the near term we will invest in additional photovoltaics systems at our sites in Engelskirchen and Großenhain.
We are planning to launch an environmental management system according to ISO 14001 or EMAS.
